The Gorge is an extremely popular place. You won’t be able to find anything last minute! Please make plans as soon as you can if you’re coming.
You absolutely need a car here. High clearance vehicles are best. You don’t have to have 4WD, but it would be helpful on some of the rougher gravel roads.
It’s going to be hot and humid here in late June, with lots of bugs, if you’re considering camping.

The Gathering House cabin in Cliffview is our venue and most people will be staying here. We strongly recommend staying in the Cliffview area if you intend on drinking at the reception, as getting back to other areas in the Gorge would require driving on winding roads.
These are big, nice cabins with tons of amenities, and they’re designed to be shared if you want to split the cost.

Koomer Ridge has beautiful, secluded primitive campsites. Katie basically grew up here. If you like camping that's not quite backcountry but still lets you experience splendid nature, this is the place.
You cannot reserve these sites beforehand, and they fill up quickly on weekends. If you want to stay here, you should plan on coming down Thursday or Friday afternoon to guarantee a space.

As bare bones as you can get, but in a really special place for a cheap price. There’s a big field for tents and a bath/shower house. Oh, and it’s right next door to the home of the best pizza in the universe. This place attracts a young crowd because it’s technically for rock climbers only, but no one is checking membership badges or anything. You have to pay and book online.
